Skipping Pills, Early Period?
Posted: 07-05-07 12:24pm

I am on ortho tri cyclin and have been for almost 2 years. I recently missed 3 pills about a week before my active pills are supposed to end. I have started light bleeding and I doubled up on my pills today (the first day that I started retaking them)

questions:
1. after missing 3 pills and having unprotected sex after being on the pill for two years whats the likelyhood of being pregnant.
2. if I continue doubling up on my pills will this light period stop.
3. can I just stop taking my pills for this week and allow my period to run its course and start taking active pills again the week after that. This would mean cutting this entire cycle down by a week.

thanks

Use a Backup

Definitely be using condoms!!! After you miss three and you are a Sunday starter, you should continue to take one pill a day until Sunday and start a brand new pack on Sunday. You need to use a back up method for 7 days AFTER you start your new pack because you will not be protected!!
