How Can I Help? Posted: 07-06-07 23:09pm
I have a 24 year old brother who is
addicted to Vicoden and is an alcoholic.
My brother's girlfriend has shared her
concern with me and said he's been off and
on Cocaine, LSD, an assortment of pills,
etc. He drinks a whole lot, comes home
high almost every night (most nights he
never comes home), has gotten into trouble
with the law because of drugs...Is there
any possible way to help him?
He has no desire to get clean which makes
it nearly impossible to do anything about
it. I've gone to rehab myself and have
been clean for nearly two years. I don't
like living in the same house as an
addict/alcoholic who brings it around me.
Any ideas?

If you can move out do so before he brings
YOU down.. You know you can best help by
NOT helping.. meanwhile People, places and
things.. you know what I mean.. if people
around you are using you are setting up
your environment for failure.. lead by
example that is the best way for your
brother to perhaps see the light..
meanwhile keep YOUR sobriety first!!!!!
