Baby "teethers" Posted: 07-07-07 22:37pm
Hi All, there are so many different types
of teethers...what do you gals suggest is
the best to get for babies..
Some of them look far too thick to be able
to fit in a little one's mouth...I am
having a hard time trying to find one that
will be useful.
Any suggestions??
Thanks.

Honestly my parents didnt even get a
teether for my little sister They used a
cold wash cloth that she liked alot. Its
soft cold and can fit in all mouths. Its
easy because it can work for all kids.

The best teether I bought was a little
.Dora blanket from .Walmart. The corners
were soft rubber for teething. My little
girl has never been too interested in
other teethers so that blanket &
frozen washclothes work for us!

Hey there
I have worked with infants in the past and
have had some scary results from
teethers.. YES they are great! We just
put a damp 'white' (so ink doesn't leaK)
cloth in a baggy in the freezer when the
baby needed it we would monitor them with
it. sometimes we would keep them in the
fridge. CAREFUL to make sure that the
cloth hasn't been washed in chemicals IE
laundry soap can be dangerious Same with
dryer sheets. BABIES DO NOT know when to
drop the teether and it can lead to frost
bite in their mouth (gums, lips and
tongue). Another thing is WATCH for
chemicals in teethers they can be
dangerious recently there were some
recalls.. GOOD LUCCK

There are all different kinds of teethers
that are available. Most of the teethers
that are available today are filled with
water and not harsh chemicals. I have
several teethers that are all filled with
water and two of them need to be
refrigerated. But there is just one that
my daughter likes to use. It's a "first
years brand"....its not filled with
anything which is good. Its a teether that
introduces brushing and my daughter loves
that. You can find in Kmart and Walmart
stores.
