You poor thing! I know exactly how you feel! I have had a yeast infection all through this pregnancy that is refusing to go!
I have never heard of monistat, but I have used applicator cream alot in this pregnancy. As long as you are careful with inserting the applicator then you'll be fine. I was told not to take any oral treatments while pregnant though so try stay clear of these

i say, if your doctor suggested you use it then you have already consulted a doctor basically, and it's safe to use... now monistat, that's the kind with the plastic applicator and the little egg looking pack of cream right?

I had a yeast infection at around 33 weeks and used the Monistat 7 day stuff, which is what my ob suggested. Be extra good about washing the applicator before and after every use. Use the monistat at night for best results.

i have read that oral meds for it aren't supposed to be good either but one of my other Dr's prescribed me one originally (the one that didn't clear it all the way) i guess he knows better.... i am not sure which one it was though. i have never had a yeast infection or a bladder infection in my life until i got pregnant!

yeah they're a pain!! I went to the doctors on friday to get the lastest round of cream lol!! She told me that you can take oral meds but they arent really recommended during pregnancy, and you should be cautious (sp?). She said she would personally not prescribe them and I was happy with that.

Because I have had such a problem with yeast infections during my pregnancy and because I dont have long left she said to keep going using the creams then after baby is born, if I still have a problem, she will give me a course of oral tablets then.

My dr prescribed me oral pills but since we already knew that my infections don't heal without them we had to use them. I have tried the creams and stuff and they are just icky and messy.
