When Did Conception Occur & Who Is Most Likely to Be the Posted: 07-08-07 11:52am
This is a real life situation. Female's
period was from March 24 - 28, 2007 and on
average are 29 days between each cycle.
Female had sex with partner1 March 29,
2007 but the condom burst. Then she had
unprotected sex with partner2 April 1 and
3, 2007. April 1 no ejaculation inside
female only on April 3. Female found out
that she was 4 weeks pregnant April 24,
2007. Her GYN said the baby was conceived
on April 7. Who is more likely to be the
father?

I agree that fluid is present in the pre
fluids as well as in the post fluids. So
it might be a situation where April 1 and
3 there were sperms in the females tract
and possibly March 29? On average sperms
live for 3-5 days depending on the
environment inside the female. If her
period just ended March 28, wouldn't her
inside be more dry or acidic? Female also
mentioned she spotted an eggwhite
discharge the morning of April 3 prior to
her encounter with partner 2. Could this
mean she was close to ovulation?

Hi the_girlfriend. The female is pregnant
acutally 15 weeks. She took a pregnancy
test April 24, 2007 as recommended by her
doctor since her period was due April 22.
When she took the test, the ultrasound
indicated that she was already 4 weeks
pregnant. Yea i know the numbers could be
a bit nervewrecking.

partner 2 as partner 1 was too long before
the estimated date of conception.
the sex most likely to have resulted in
the pregnancy will have occured in the 5
days prior to and including april 7 - ie
3, 4, 5, 6, 7 April.

Thanks for the reply Kia. I agree that
Partner 2 is most likely the paternal
father of the foetus. It would be good to
get the view of a medical practitioner on
what usually happens in a females body 2-3
days after the menstrual cycle. Are there
actually 2-3 dry days after a menstrual
period? What do doctors encourage for
family planning sessions aside from having
intercourse 5 days prior to ovulation,
checking basla temperature and cervical
muscus for conception to occur?
