this baby is going to be in there a while

lol I dont think its my belly button! I
think its just the trousers!!! My belly
button hasnt popped yet! Its just flat and
non existant!! The same happened with my
other pregnancys too I think usually my
belly button is so abnormally deep that
when I get pregnant my belly doesnt expand
enough for it to come out!!

I dont think mines going to pop this time

outwards! I am just growing out to the
sides all of a sudden which looks pretty
odd

thanks ladies!
Mandi and laura, lol I know it has gone
stupidly fast!! I havent been about much
esp. through the middle part of this
pregnancy. What with running about after
the boys I have been constantly exhausted!
Maybe thats why it seems I have jumped
from only a few weeks to 36 lol!!
I have been kinda stressing about when the
baby's going to arrive and what effect it
will have on the boys... but no more!! I
am just going to try and chill out from
now on!! .Lucas finishes playgroup for
summer hols this week and .Aydan only has
2 weeks of school left till he has 6 weeks
off. Then its his 6th birthday!! I am
going to focus on those things and getting
to spend some quality time with them
before baby gets here!!

Very cute belly! You do not look like you
have carried two kids already! I think I
see your belly button, too!!
You have one boy who is almost 6 years
old; how old is your other boy?? Do your
boys play together, at least enough to
give you a little break? Nathan, who is
almost four, has been pretty needy lately.
He even refuses to feed himself sometimes
and begs me to do it. So, even getting him
to eat has been a struggle. He seems to
want to be a baby again. He actually told
me he doesn't want to get bigger. Even
when I leave for a second, he will
practically scream. My husband and I went
out for one last movie while my mom was
watching Nathan. Nathan cried for almost
two hours (some of the tears were fake,
I'm sure!). This will be very hard on him.
He knows the time is near. He is being
extremely oppositional lately as well. Did
you notice that type of behavior from your
first child after your second was born?
Just curious.

thanks! Believe me lol! When I am not
pregnant my body definitely has signs that
I've already had children!!! The boys do
play together quite alot now so it is
sometimes easier when they are both home
as the occupy each other fairly well!.
Aydan will be 6 at the end of .July, I am
hoping to still be at home! and .Lucas was
3 in May. I was very lucky when .Lucas was
born as .Aydan is a very easy going child
and .Lucas was a brillant newborn, he
would happily lay by himself and take
himself of to sleep etc. I never remember
really having a problem with .Aydan.
Although I can see this time round being
very different!!! When .Aydan was born my
sister had a baby a few months later and
my family are very close. So .Aydan grew
up never really being the baby of the
family. Lucas is totally different! He is
Chris' first biological child (although he
is just like a dad to Aydan) and he is
Chris' family's first real grandchild and
because of this I dont think he's going to
find it so easy to adjust to a new baby.
We explain whats happening all the time
but I dont think he really understands, he
loves babies, but he pretty much refuses
to talk about this one. Sometimes he says
he loves baby other times he says quite
sternly 'no baby in my house!' oh dear!!
To be honest we just ignore it!.
I am hoping that having .Aydan around
will help him adjust. Also I am lucky
because 3years ago, Chris had a car
accident and broke his femur (not so lucky
I know) but it only just beginning to heal
so he cant work meaning he's at home all
the time. So my children get to have both
of us to share out the attention!
Nathans that little bit older so he
probably has more understanding of whats
going on. I was always told that if
children try to go back to baby-ish ways
around the time of a new arrival just let
them do it. (although it might be pretty
exhausting!!). He will realise how boring
it is after a while and get himself out of
it. I dont think what you have said about
.Nathans behaviour is uncommon, and I can
see .Lucas doing some of the same things
once he realises there really is a new
baby in the house!. Also .Nathans had a
really hard time just lately what with
being ill so he's probably not feeling up
to his best anyway.
Its totally normal to worry about him
right now. I am really worried because my
mum is having my children when I go to
hosp. She literally lives 5 mins away and
my boys adore her. Aydan is so excited
about going to stay with her and wants to
go tomorrow but .Lucas has never stayed a
night away from us and is far from keen!!.
I am getting abit concerned about how hes
going to feel when we are not there but
hopefully I wont be gone for long.
All I can say is when .Bryan is here make
as much time for .Nathan as you can. I
used to just do the basic stuff with
.lucas at first when he was born and spend
the rest of my time with .Aydan. It sounds
abit cruel but when .Aydan was in bed
.Lucas would still be awake and I gave him
my time then!! I plan on doing exactly
the same this time! I know you are having
a c-section it will take you longer to
have the energy. Is your mom staying
around after the baby is here for abit to
help you all out?
Try not to worry to much about it, before
long .Nathan won't remember a time when
his brother wasnt around!!
Sorry this ended up being so long!!

Oh and I forgot to say the most important
bit!! Remember to take time out and get
some proper rest and time to relax before
and after baby is here!! Its just as
important for you to take some time and
give yourself some attention as it is for
the boys! .....Easier said
than done I know!

Thanks for the reply! Take time and relax
before baby is here...to be honest, I am
wondering if baby is coming today. I won't
make a separate post right now because I
am probably just going crazy but it is
almost 5:00 am and I am having some pretty
severe contractions. If they don't let up
in an hour or two, I will go to the
hospital - where they will probably tell
me I am in false labor.
If I don't email for the rest of the
day...you know why.
