the Reactions of Others Posted: 07-08-07 20:33pm
Ever since other people, online and in
real life, have found out that I'm
charting they act like there is something
wrong with me. I've gotten a lot of
different comments that I just think are
wildly ridiculous.
1. It will make you not get pregnant.
2. You're obsessed.
3. It's bizarre.
4. It's too much work.
5. It ruins your sex life (Ha...not
true).
6. You're putting pressure on yourself.
None of these are true and what's sad is I
could come up with more! It's so
condescending, imo. If you've been treated
this way, how did you react?

Don't listen to them. I charted and I am
going to have a beautiful baby boy next
month. It helps you get in tune with your
body.

I honestly haven't told many people that I
have started charting, so i haven't had
any negative feedback.
Musikmaker is right...Just ignore them.
They don't have anything to do with your
body so don't worry about what they say.

WELL BELIEVE ME I'VE HAD MY SHARE OF
COMMENTS
1. UR TO YOUNG
2. WHY NOT WAIT TILL U PAY OFF UR CAR
AND THE SAME 1S THAT U WROTE. I JUST THINK
THAT KEEPING IT TO UR SELF IS BETTER THAN
LISTENING TO THAT. SOMETIMES U LISTEN TO
THAT FROM THE PEOPLE U LOVE AND HURTS TO
KNOW THAT I CANT TALK TO THEM ABOUT
SOMETHING SO IMPORTANT. ANEWAY I JUST TRY
NOT TO THINK ABOUT THAT ITS MY LIFE AND IF
I AM READY THEN I AM GOING TO DO WHAT EVER
IT TAKES TO BETTER MY CHANCES IN MAKING MY
DREAM OF BECOMING A MOMMY FOR THE 1ST TIME
COME TRUE.
I AM JUST SORRY THAT WE HAVE TO GO THRU
THIS.

I wish I had kept it all a secret between
Raymond and I, but I was kind of left with
no choice. After I had surgery, my OB
basically announced to my family in the
waiting room that I would need to make a
decision about my fertility and
child-bearing. Only after he was asked,
of course, but it just put it all out on
the table for me.
