Q: Upper Abdominal Pain

Hi there I am 9 weeks pregnant today and for the past week i have been getting sharp pains in my upper abdominal area right where my ribs meet in the middle ...i have been to the doctors and they thought it might be gallstones but i had an ultrasound done and there was nothing i was just wondering if these pains are normal or what this could possibly be this is my first pregnancy and i am very worried about this

The point where your ribs meet is called your xiphoid process. Pains here are not related to your pregnancy, sweetie. Your baby is in your uterus, which is much further down.

I'm not sure what you might be experiencing, but try not to worry - this doesn't have anything to do with your baby. Wink
