I have had severe abdominal pain for 5
months following hospitalisation from
vomiting blood and being unable to eat for
two weeks. I have not been diagnosed, but
they say it is "idiomatic" I have been on
and off paradex and pethidiene -up to
450mg a day and I still experience nausea.
Blood has been detected in my urine
several times, and it is usually a reddish
colour.
I have had cat and mri scans, colonoscopy
and gastroscopy, and nothing has shown up.
This pain is crippling and wakes me up at
night 2 or three times.
I am often uable to walk.
I stop taking pain killers every so often
to prevent addiction and narcotic bowel
syndrome. My doctors and the hospital
here in new zealand do not seem to know
what to do. This is destroying my life.
I am 27 years old, a non smoker and non
drinker with no previous health problems.
Anyone have any ideas

I don't know but I do think it might be
worth your while checking out auto-immune
diseases like irritable bowel syndrome etc
they can also mimic each other, see if any
of what you come across makes any sense or
rings any bells for you
www.Scd.Net.Com
(specific carbohydrtae diet -relates to
irritable bowel syndrome but it's a place
to start)
