When you lay on your side, try putting a pillow between your knees. That might help align your spine more. And maybe instead of using .icy .hot (I don't know if it's safe or not, but I always stayed away from medicine during my pregnancy) you can try a heating pad. There are heating pads available now that automatically shut themselves off after 30 minutes or so.

I've not heard one way or another on the icy hot stuff, but a heating pad is ok to use for short time spans. Have you tried sleeping elevated, like in a recliner? I've heard some people say that helps ease off some of the pain. I have a lot of back pain too, but usually I can just put a pillow between my legs and I'm ok. I hope you find something that works for you.

I agree with this - you should see your doctor cos your bump surely isn't big enough to be causing so much pain Confused

Hey, don't panic about it though! If you've got an infection then it's treatable and if you've got a back problem then maybe the bump, despite being little, is exacerbating it Wink

I had back pain that early in my pregnancy and it was just because of all the hormones in my body making my muscles relax. Thankfully it does go away.

I called my dr about it so I think you prolly should too.
