Feeling Sensation In Appendix Area Posted: 07-10-07 08:05am
Hi. I'm new to the group and hopefully
someone can answer my question.
I've had a feeling sensation in my
appendix area (lower right pelvic/tummy
region) since late 2003. It's not
appendicitis according to 2 doctors I've
been to, because it's not painful. I just
have a feeling sensation where there
shouldn't be -- it's hard to explain. CT
scan turned out nothing. It's on and off
for months at a time. There's no lump or
anything, both doctors pressed hard and
deep with their hands and I was in no pain
(other than someone pressing a fist in
your tummy). The first doctor said it
might be air trapped inside but that was
in early 2004, over 3 years ago.
I'm just curious and wondering if I should
keep seeing more doctors until one has an
idea. I'm 45 years old. Thanks!

I am sorry I cannot be of any help to you
without more information about this
sensation.

Is there any connection between the
appendix and the right testicle? I
remember having this same sensation 10
years ago for which I went for a checkup
and nothing wrong was found. I remember
then I thought it was my testicle but
mentioned that I feel something also in my
appendix area.
Now I feel it constantly. "Sensitive"
might be the better description. When I
feel it, it feels like it might hurt when
bumped but when I actually do bump my
appendix area on a countertop or tabletop
just to test it doesn't hurt at all.
Sometimes, when I sit down (like right
now) my right testicle is more sensitive
than the left.
I also feel my appendix when I start
running on the treadmill everyday but
after about 10 minutes on the treadmill,
it's completely gone. Like, whatever it is
is jostled into a certain place where I
don't feel it anymore.
When I went for a checkup ten years ago my
doctor gave me antibiotics and it was
completely gone. In 2003 it came back
first on my appendix then just a few weeks
ago, also on my right testicle. It doesn't
hurt and nothing's swelling as far as I
can tell. Just sensitive.
