Q: 10 weeks with a uterus that's measuring at 15 weeks

Well I had an appt last .thursday.
He checked my uterus(internally) and said "yupp, your uterus is measuring right on track...15 weeks. we're going to do an ultrasound today."
So, he put jelly on my belly and as soon as he put the doppler thing on my stomach his mouth dropped, as did mine.
no, we're not having twins! lol!
But, I'm definately not 15 weeks!!!!
I'm only 10 weeks!!!
When he told me this, I had a revalation!! loL! How was it possible for me to *not* know I was pregnant for 11 weeks, already being a mother?? Why was I *just*(about a day after my 1st appt) starting to experience nausia without it letting up *at all*!?!?!?!?
My first question to him was "well then why is my uterus so damn big?!" and his answer was "well, with your second child, your uterus knows what to do, and does it faster."
my second question was "well, doc, what's my due date now?" and he said "I don't know. We'll do another ultrasound not this next appt, but the one after that. We'll measure it, and configure it from there...this just doesn't make sense to me."

I don't get it...
I'm not too disappointed, because I didn't want a .christmas baby...at all.
I had told .baron, about a week before the appt "what if I'm not as far as he thinks I am?" and he said "you're prob not. You know your body better than he ever will."
So, here's a pic of the lil bean!

getting put back 5 weeks has to suck!! But atleast that explains why your still feeling so much nausia! Hopefully in a couple of weeks it will fade out!
I got really huge really early on remember? Its just your muscles strecthing earlier because its done it before. esp as you didnt have .Oni that long ago! I was measuring huge right up untill I was about 31 weeks then I caught myself up and now in the words of my midwife I am 'spot on!'
Well at least you seem quite positive about it! Do you know a rough due date? You should be able to have a nice uninterrupted christmas with .Baron and .Oni now!!
Oh and the ultrasound pic is so sweet! Your little bean is so tiny cant wait to watch it grow!!

Yea, I had this gut feeling that I wasn't 15 weeks. There was No way I could be that far along without me knowing.

Xmas baby!! Funny you should say that.
I'm a xmas baby ( born xmas eve) and my unborn child will also be a xmas baby.
My mum would always say that i was the best xmas present she could have possibly asked for.
Moral of what i'm trying to say is that its really not that bad. This year i will be 27 and for my B'day and xmas i will be receiving the best present i could ever ask for for the rest of my life!!
