it's strange when you get to the point where you can feel the different body parts of the baby so you know what part they are moving in there. i sit and watch my belly all the time too. the thing that sucks is most of the time i'll tell rich to watch too and the baby will stop moving. lol. i hate that!! it's like the baby is teasing me. but yeah, i can see my whole stomach moving from side to side. the baby's bum is so far out to the left side. i can feel where the back and shoulders are (all on the left side) and all the small parts, the hands and legs and feet are kind of in the middle so my belly is totally lopsided. and the head is so far down that it tickles when it moves. i'm gonna miss all that when i'm not pregnant anymore! but i guess i'll still get to watch my baby move anyway.

I love feeling body parts! Especially the feet for some reason. Even though it hurts whenever .Luke puts his feet in my ribs I just think it is the cutest thing to feel the little feet. At first it was hard to tell the difference between his feet and knees though.

Lol, whenever his butt is sticking out I tell my husband and he thinks it is gross that I feel it. He likes to tell me to leave the poor boy's butt alone and let him be in peace. Dan won't even think of feeling it whenever I tell him too Smile He's a funny guy.

You need to be further along because you can't tell unless the baby is big enough. I started to be able to tell around week 26-27 I think. Of course, I have high amniotic fluid so it is harder to feel from the outside.

i'm 38 and a half weeks along now so i guess that helps. the doctor pointed out to me where the bum and head are and i asked "ok so this is the leg and this is where the shoulder and back are?" and she confirmed it. it's like a half moon shape on one side of my tummy because the baby is lying with it's back to my left side. it's hard where the back and bum are and softer where all the small parts are. so now i can tell when the baby is moving it's legs because i can see and feel it and when it wiggles it's little bum i know what that is too. it's so neat.
