Clueless Doctors - hypoglycemia ?
Posted: 07-11-07 11:49am

Has anyone ever run into a problem where you get a new doctor and they appear clueless on hypoglycemia? I had to change doctors when my insurance changed and the new one I have was fine until we were discussion my medical history and then she gave me blank stare when we got to hypoglycemia, it turned into me educating her more than the other way around. Has this ever happened to anyone? Is a diagnosis of hypoglycemia that uncommon?

Find you another doctor that your insurance plan will accept..........gosh knows what would happen if you went in and was having a heart attack to aneurysm.............. Find a more competent doctor! Laughing

It's not really well known and was actually disregarded as a false illness decades ago. That's the problem, and finding a doctor who knows about it isn't very common. I had to explain to one yesterday what it is and they were interested but didn't know what I meant at first.
