treatment with Clomid
Posted: 03-28-08 01:17am

I am married for one year and 3 months now, 25 yrs old. my husband(26 yrs old) and I were trying to conceive since then . my husband's semen test turned normal and showed that he is fertile, I also did some fertility testing. I did ultra sound for my ovaries and uterus and checked my hormones and thy are all normal. my OB/Gym monitored my ovulation and confirmed that am ovulating day 13 of my menstrual cycle. my menstrual cycle is very regular 27 days length. yet no pregnancy happened (I wasn%u2019t pregnant before). my OB suggested the next step is to have HSG test and start taking Clomid pills even though she confirmed my regular ovulation. what are your recommendation, shall I go for Clomid and HSG test, Knowing that my prior test were all normal??

I am a 26 year old woman and my husband and I are also trying to conceive. I am also taking Clomid and what I have learned about Clomid is that even if you are totally normal and fertile it is a good boost for you. Clomids purpose is to basically give you more hormone to kick your ovaries into high gear and help your body to push the best and strongest eggs out when you ovulate. So I would recommend trying it. It can't hurt and it will only help your chances of conceiving. Good luck

I think if one is normally ovulating better for nature to do the work of fertilizing. I'm warry of fertility drugs unless necessary, that's why the number of multiple pregnancies have increased which is unhealthy for mom and babies. It is better for one egg to be fertilized at a time.

Maybe I am a little misunderstood. I had a miscarriage in January and my doctor started me on Clomid because he said that it would help me to pass healthy and more viable eggs or egg. He felt that my miscarriage could have been due to a weak or not fertilized egg. And from my research and what the doctor has told me there is less than a 5% chance of multiples happening. I feel as a very strong Christian woman The Lord would find it OK to be taking Clomid as it is only helping your body to pass stronger eggs. Which I feel every woman in my place would want after having a miscarriage.
