Posted: 02-29-08 21:16pm

My fiance and I have been trying to conceive for the last 4 months and so far we have nothing!!! I have tried to think positive about the situation but my patience is wearing thin... is there something wrong with me? I have a 2yr old daughter from a previous relationship, and I got preggo with her really fast, but I did have a cesarian delivery.... I was also put to sleep during the procedure.... might something have gone wrong? I get my period every month and I never miss.... I mean it doesnt come on the exact same day every month but its usually between the 5th and the 10th... I only bleed for about 3 to 5 days.... and for the last three months I have ovulated consistantly on the 25th.... and still nothing... I need help Crying

it can take a normal healthy cuople a year or more to concive....most doctors wont even see you (fertility wise) until at least a year of ACTIVLY trying

it takes the right time of the month for the right sprem to meet the right and to implant just right then and only then can you get pregnant

just give it some more time....are you temping or using opks? it may help to do it for a month or two just to be sure you ARE infact ovulating then you think you are

good luck

maybe your fiance is the one with the problem. He could have a low sperm count or something or you just need to wait. I know I have seeing women trying for up to 7 months and then they get pregnant and there was actually nothing wrong.

I have just been racking my brain about this situation, I am definately trying to stay positive because I want another child so bad, I guess I have to just wait it out and see... and this may be a stupid question, but what are opks?

yeah, id say give it maybe like 5 or 6 more monthes and then talk to your doctor, if there is something wrong they should be able to fix it if not then you just need to have more fun.....

if you dont mind me asking WHAT are you doing? like how offten and when and stuff (if its to personal i completly understand) a lot of people seem to make the mistake that simply having sex whenever they feel like it will work but you have to have sex at just the right time of the month

and thats not a stupid question at all, OPKs are Ovulation Predictor Kits, its a test you pee on just like a pregnancy test only it tells you when your ovulating

I agree with Idony - my husband and I have been trying for the past 10 months to have our first child and everything we've read and everyone we've talked to said that it usually takes about a year to conceive, and we're not going to talk to a doctor until that time comes. I just got a great book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" - very good reference about everything you'd ever want to know about trying to get pregnant. I wish you the best of luck!

Hi!

My husband & I tried for 4 years and just this fall we finally got in at the Fertility Clinic and THIS is what finally did it:

-Child Aspirine (1 - daily) to thin blood a bit to aid in implantation of the fertilized egg - you can take it right away, once per day, throughout your pregnancy. This will also prevent clots.

-Take a Prenatal Vitamin daily with Lunch.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get some fresh air every day!

-You probably Ovulate between Day 9 to 19 of your cycle - every women is different. Not everyone ovulates on day 14 of their cycle. The day you start your period, that's Day 1 of your cycle. Make Love once per day on days 9 to 19. Don't get up after sex because all the fluids & sperm will slip out! Stay in bed for 30 minutes - 1 hour and if you can, have an orgasm after your fiancé has ejaculated inside you. Why? Because when a woman orgasms, the cervix & uterus dips down and into the pool of sperms that is in the vagina. This way, more sperm can get up the cervix and into your uterus and to your Egg!

-I also took CLOMID for 4 months to make sure I ovulated each month and did all of the above, and it worked on month 4.

-So have an orgasm with sperm inside you! GOOD LUCK!!

gosh so many advice. I just came off the pill about 3 weeks ago so let's see what happens. OMG 4 years that's a lot of time for me. I would ask for clomid after 6 month of trying. But I'm 35 years old that's why. Can you imagine me waiting 4 years I would be 40 LOL. So ladies please just pray for me!! Smile
