trying to get preganant Posted: 05-01-08 21:36pm
My husband and I have a four month old
little boy & we are wanting to start
trying again for another baby as soon as
we can. I am currently on Nuvaring and
have one more week of it in before I
remove it to start my period. I was
wondering when the earliest is that we can
begin trying to conceive, or once the ring
is out will hormones not affect the baby?
Does anyone have any tricks or tips to
help with conceiving. My husband & I
tried for 8 months before getting pregnant
last time and we're not sure what exactly
that we did that helped. Any advice is
appreciated Thanks!

I don't know, but I would say ask your
doctor what a safe time is to start trying
again seeing as how your son is only 4
months. I had a c-section in November and
my doc gave us the go ahead to try
starting in April. So I think it depends
on your doc as to what he'll decide is
right for you. We actually got pregnant
right away and are due at the end of the
year now. For me...I have a 28 day cycle
and a 14 day luteal(sp?) phase. So I count
backwards on my calander from the day I'm
expected to get my period and when I get
to day 14 I go 5 days befor that and 4
days after and had sex every other day as
recommended by my doctor. I had EWCM for
about 5 days which was very thick so I
knew those we my fertile days. Some women
don't get very much and some only get it
the day before , the day after or the time
of O. You can chart your temps, cervical
position, and CM monthly to get an idea of
how your body works and when you O. Also
while doing this you should use OPK's to
confirm you answers to your charts. You
can use fertilityfriend.com for an easy
way to keep track of everything. Good luck
to you and lots of babydust your way!
