Ureter stone
Posted: 04-13-08 16:47pm

One and half month ago i started feeling pain in my lower back at right side and frequent urination with small quantity. I had a Urine DR report which showed that RBC, blood cells, and puss cells were coming in my urine. Then for 3 or 4 days i had severe pain in my lower back as well as in my right testus for which i had to rely on pain killer injection.
I had several reports but to no avail. But now from some time i was feeling pressure on my anus as well as small frequent urination and again felt the severe pain but now i was diagnosed with a 8mm stone in my right ureter 2-3 cm away from vescureteric junction i again had a pain killer injection.
Now my question is if stone passes into bladder whether or not it will hurt when it's in bladder. Secondly can the stone of this size pass through urine?

a couple of days have past since i had a pain killer and i'm feeling quite normal.

Hi and welcome to ehealth

Sorry to you are going through this. It is possible to pass the stone out once it gets in your bladder. The biggest part is getting from your kidney to your bladder the ureter tube is not big at.
After it gets into the bladder it will hurt when it is bouncing around and when it works its way out of the urethra, that is a sharp pain.

If you start having more pain get to your doctor or ER ASAP. Stones that do not come out can do harm to the kidney and ureter.

Are you straining your urine? If not you can get use a paint strainer most stores (department and home improvement stores) sell them.
Keep us posted.
Wishing you the best..Smile
