Vaginal Discharge and burning
Posted: 05-27-08 00:02am

Hi, My name is Sepptara Im 16 years old.

i started my period when i was about 13 years old, and ever since i started my period i've always had alot of genital discharge,

well now, more often than before my vaginal burns really bad, and i have to pee frequently.

i havent had sex with a boy, and i am female, but i ad masterbated, and i have had group sex with two other girls two years ago.

I'm starting to get worried, because the vaginal discharge in my underwear is a beige kind of color and its cold, it has this strange smell that is hard to describe,

im scared because i dont know whats happening but i dont want to go to a doctor, if someone has gone through this, or knows anything i can do, please please please tell me,

thank you

sepptara.

You may have a yeast infection. Medication can be bought over the counter at any drug store. These medications used to be by prescription only but were unrestricted about 10 years ago. Monostat is one of the medications. It comes in several varieties. You can get a suppository that is used for 3 days and comes with a cream to treat the labia and area outside the vagina. This can be very effective. Monostat also comes as a 7 day cream that is drawn from the tube into a applicator and inserted vaginally. This is a bit messier than the suppository. Whatever way you choose to apply the medication be sure to use a panty liner as some of the product may leak on to your underwear. The other possibility is that you may have a urinary tract infection. This would require a visit with the doctor because it is treated with antibiotics. The doctor would need a urine sample which is not bad - you pee in a cup and they test the urine for bacteria. You could try the monostat 3 day suppository. If that does not clear up the burning then you need to let your mom know what is going on so you can see the doctor. I know this can be frightening but it really is not so bad. Let us know how you are doing.

You are so very welcome. Let me know if this does the trick. Being a young woman can be difficult sometimes. We have all been there. I hope this does the trick.
