vaginal foam side effects ? Posted: 04-21-08 21:12pm
Hi -
I have been experiencing some wierd
problems lately with my body! I have been
having to use the bathroom a lot lately, I
have pelvic pain and or cramps. When I pee
it kind hurts after the flow of pee is
done and small drops of blood follow
(light in color). I have been experiencing
this for about 5 days now! I am sexually
active, I am not on birth control, but do
use a VCF -vaginal contraceptive foam. I
have never been pregnant nor have any kids
in the present. I have been on birth
control in my past (4 years ago). My next
period should flow around April 28th. I
would like to know what I am experiencing,
can it be I am just experiencing some PMS
affects? Can it be the Vaginal foam I am
using, or is it a sign of me being
pregnant? If someone could get back to me
on this asap! Thank you for your time!

pelvic pain and painful urination is most
likely a urinary tract infection. sexually
active women are more likely to get them,
and vaginal foam can increase your risk. i
used to use spermacide foam but had to
stop because i started getting UTI's. you
need to see a doctor though, they can
check to see if that's what it is and give
you antibiotics for it. there are also OTC
medicines you can get to relieve the pain
associated with UTI's, but these do NOT
cure or treat the infection, they only
relieve the symptoms.
