Varicose Veins within bladder wall Posted: 03-18-08 18:07pm
I have had repeated UTI's for several
years and doctors thought I had ulcers in
the lining of my bladder. Upon having a
scope done, they have diagnosed me with
having what you might call varicose veins
(very large veins) in the bladder wall.
Being only 27 years old, the doctor has
told me that my bladder appears that of an
80 year old. I was told that there was
evidence of thrombosis of some of those
veins in my bladder wall which has caused
the horrible pain I experience
occasionally. It is my understanding that
there is not any medication or cure for
this condition. If any of you have any
information or experiences you can share I
would certainly appreciate it.

Varicose Veins within bladder wall Posted: 05-04-08 12:55pm
We live in Poland. My wife has similar
problems. She has had a USG examination
and cystoscopy and her ilness was
diagnosed as varicose veins within bladder
wall. The doctor prescribed "Detralex"
which is usually used for patients with
varicose veins in legs. The doctor
couldn't say anything about reasons of
this illness and the ways of treatment. He
said, this problem has not been known well
yet. The pain still occurs - from time to
time without any reasons and no-one can
help my wife with it. We would be also
grateful for any help or information. Is
there any centre where somebody
specialises in this problem?
