About three or four days ago, I don't know
what happened, but my tongue started to
hurt really badly. I checked it in the
mirror, and I see a formation on the
bottom of my tongue that looks something
like...
Here's the url... For some reason the
url and img tags convert certain letters
to capitals rendering the link useless.
Edit: oh great, it still does it, so just
convert all the capitals to lowercase...
the darker area represents the approximate
area where it hurts a ton if I scratch it
with my teeth, move around my tongue, eat,
etc. My tongue was also a little
swollen at first, but it's gone now.
The pain is also going down a little, but
it's going down a little too slow and is
really bothering me. Is this anything I
should be worried about?
By the way, if it helps, around the time
this first occurred I changed the
toothpaste I used into some aquafresh
toothpaste and I accidentally poked myself
on the bottom of my mouth with one of my
toothbrush bristles. I don't know if
this has anything to do with it, if I have
some weird allergic reaction to aquafresh
or something.
Edit: nevermind, I think I solved my
problem. They're just canker sores...
Crap, crap, crap. There's no way I can
give a speech with canker sores constantly
grinding against my teeth.

Are you absolutely sure they are canker
sores (which I assume is the .American
word for ulcers?) because I had the same
problem a few months ago and it got so bad
I could hardly eat. My tongue would burn
when I ate and it felt awful, my gums and
tip of my tongue were an angry red colour.
It turned out to be oral thrush! I had
changed my toothpaste too and that was
what triggered it. I took the thrush
capsule you can buy over counter and it
cleared up within a couple of days.
Anyway, I hope you feel better soon!
Nice pic by the way

Yep, I get canker sores all the time, just
last night I checked the bottom of my
tongue again and the weird bumps turned
white and shallow. I might consider
getting a new toothpaste... I may just be
irritating it even more by keeping on
using it. I wonder if there's a easy way
to get rid of canker sores without buying
drugs...
