water retention ?

I took ortho tricyclen for 3 months and gained about 8 lbs. My chest hurt so bad the last month, I have had bad depression, going home and just eating and going to bed (I work 9-5). However, I was counting my calories, eating 1200-1500 calories a day, and forcing myself to go running 3 miles at least 3 days a week.

I stopped taking it a few days ago. I read that most of it is water retention, so I have been taking diuretics, exercising with one of those bands around my waist, and drinking tons of water and unsweet cranberry juice.

My question is: Does anyone know how long it may take to start losing the weight back? I have 3 weddings to go to this summer and I am freaking out! Thanks so much!

It just depends on how your body adjusts. I don't think anyone will be able to tell you for sure. Just keep up watching what you eat and working out and all of a sudden it will come off! Are you on a new BC? That on may affect you being able to lose weight as well. Just relax and like I said keep doing what your doing! Good luck! Smile

It really just depends. It's great that you are exercising and taking good care of your body. That should help out a lot. Just take it slow and don't expect drastic results; it's unhealthy to lose a lot of weight at once anyways. One or two pounds a week would be great!
