weakness in arms and shoulders
Posted: 06-21-08 15:45pm

i am male, 61, pretty good shape, lightly over weight, work construction, and i have had a small number of times latel when i would feel a tingling in my shoulders and arms and i began to feel the strengh and energy in my arms go out like it was being drained and would get to feeling very funny and have to set down and lay my arms on my legs as i had little strenght to hold them up and shortly i would get to feeling better and get my strenght back and i would go on with my day, but i had one this week and i was home and i have a blood pressure tester and i tested it during this time and it was not bad, 148 over 83 or there abouts, i have an idea what it sounds like to me but have no proof, and i have no health insurance so i go to no doctors and consequently i just let it go, do you have an idea what i may have going on? thank you,

Do you think this could be symptoms of a heart attack?

What is your diet like? People who are overweight, and even people who aren't, are at risk for heart attack. That's what it sounds like to me.

i have thought of the heart attack and also i know that there is a possibility that if a person can not raise arms, or smile or say a sentence it can be a stroke, but i have no idea, but the light stroke is what come to mind first, or the heart attack, but i am not really over weight to speak, just maybe 10 lbs, and i eat pretty good as i have been on a diet and i rarely drink alcohol nor do i smoke, but my family has a history of heart disease and stroke, so i guess it is up for grabs,

sounds like it might be a disc

You might want to have your neck checked out for disc problems.
