You are HUGE! You know I didn't really
think much of it because early pregnancy
is full of gas and bloating - but your
stomach is that large when you are laying
down and you are only 12 weeks? Your
uterus hasn't even expanded past your
pubic bone yet and, even if it were just
twins, it wouldn't be much higher than
that - but you are really really big!!!
OMG!
Your profile says you are 6'1" - you
should have plenty of room in your abdomen
for a baby... I'm thinking way more than
one. Be sure to show your doctor all your
progress pictures too. You should call
your doctor and ask for an appointment
sooner. You need to get an ultrasound
ASAP.

i have to agree with ingi. even if you
were carrying twins your uterus still
wouldn't be that high.
i'd really push for an ultrasound at your
next appointment just to rule out any
other health issues.
i would do the same , try to get an
ultrasound done soon

I agree! I barely showed that much at 25
weeks.

I'm 35 weeks, only 5' 4", and I hardly
show that much when laying down! You've
got to either be WAY further along than
you think you have WAY more than 2 babies
in there! Either way....something is off
and you need to find out what's going on!

I think it's much more likely that you're
either extremely bloated or are
experiencing some freak attack of gas.
There's no possible way your baby (or
uterus) are big enough to make your
stomach stick out like that, especially
lying down. You either have a tumor the
size of a grapefruit in there or you're
bloated.
I can sympathize. I'm 7 weeks along and my
stomach's massively too big. Of course,
this is my second pregnancy and I
recognize my growth for exactly what it
is: bloating.
I understand how excited you are to be
pregnant, but in all honesty, that's not
your baby belly you're showing off there.
That's unfortunate water gain or the
result of "eating for two". I'm not trying
to be cruel to you, just honest. You
probably won't start truly showing until
your baby and uterus are big enough to
actually make contact with your stomach,
which starts around week 20 or so. Until
then, drink plenty of water to help
control the bloating and watch your
calorie intake.
Wow, that's you lying down?? Definitely
talk to your doctor about this, I think
having an ultrasound in the next few weeks
would be a good idea.
I don't like posting pics in other
people's threads, but I just want to put
this into perspective for you.. I'm a
similar height to you so I never showed
very much with my first, & this was me
at 33 weeks lying down:
I know everyone's different, but tall
women don't usually start showing for a
while with their first. I'm sure
everything's fine with you & however
many babies you have in there, but talk to
your doctor about your concerns at your
next appointment. Good luck, I hope
everything goes well for you!

I know what you mean I'm 6'1" So, and your
about my height thats why its weird to me
that my belly is bigger then yours, even
now and they say you show faster with your
second, so you should actually be bigger
then me. I see my dr tuesday so. I find
out then about whats up. Its cool, I don't
mind you posting pics

The growth from being a normal size when
she was 9 weeks along at her doctor's
appointment, to her giant belly now is
indicative of something going on! That is
not right at all. No one grows that much
that fast in 3 weeks!
Amethyst, I don't want to scare you at
all. But I truly believe you need to be
seen. There are growth spurts sometimes
but that is like MONTHS of growth in a few
short weeks and should be cause for
concern.
Have you gained any weight?

I would be very concerned if I were you.
That is very unusual that you are showing
that much and that fast in such a short
period of time.
I have a friend whose sister had a large
tumor and it made her stomach swell up
very large.
You should get that checked out if I were
you.

I hope everything goes ok at your
appt!!!!! You have grown a lot since your
9 wk pics!!! And willa that was kinda
mean! I dont think she would make herself
try to look bigger than she actually is.
You act like she is faking or something.
There is something going on and she is not
sure, you dont have to try and make her
feel bad and say she is trying to make
herself seem bigger. She is here for
support, not ppl telling her she is faking
how big she is.

I never said I was having twins, you know
what everytime I post a pic i get half
compliments half insults, half of you act
like i'm a fake or something, I don't even
want to get on here half the time. I'm
tired of it, I thought we were suppose to
support each other. Well I don't know if I
want to even come back to this forum, some
people on here are very nice, and
supportive, others are very insulting and
talk to me like I'm an fool.

Thanks, as you said I have no reason to
fake, and for those who don't consider
this, I am worried, It bothers me to
death. I have less then a week, and I look
forward to my appt.

Just a thought.... I work with a woman who
had fibroid toumors while pregnant and it
caused her to get huge REALLY fast. And
it's a serious condition that a dr would
need to follow your pregnancy much more
closely. If I were you I would call your
dr and voice your concerns and schedule an
appointment ASAP!!!!
