Well if you took my response as mean, I'm
sorry. I'm having the same issue with my
stomach, and I'm definitely only having
one baby. This is my second pregnancy and
I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that
mine is just water retention and bloating.
I think that's what's going on with you as
well. See how it's localized around your
belly button? A pregnancy belly usually
starts lower, where your uterus is. You'd
have a growth just above your pubic area,
not around your stomach.
Your stomach shouldn't look like that when
you lay down. That's all anyone is trying
to tell you. Your baby is only a couple of
inches long right now, and your uterus is
still really small. Most first time moms
don't start showing until 20 weeks or
later, and definitely not when they're
laying down.
If your stomach really looks like that
when you lay down, you should mention it
to your doctor. He'll probably recommend
drinking more water to help control the
bloating and maybe curving your diet to
reduce excess calories. He'll probably
also do an ultrasound to make sure you're
not bleeding into your uterus or have
fibriods or any other health risks.
We're not saying these things to be mean
to you. We're truly trying to help you. If
you're sticking your stomach out (there's
nothing wrong with that, and you wouldn't
be the first person to ever do that) then
that's perfectly fine. Every pregnant
woman is excited to start showing. And if
you're not, there's definitely something
else going on. The point everyone here is
trying to make to you is that looking like
that when laying down is NOT normal.

wow willa....some supporter you are! And
if you even took the time to read, in a
previous post she did write that she was
scared. Actually it is in the same one YOU
copy and pasted. And she hasnt said that
she is DEF. having twins, she said it is a
POSSIBILITY and she is NOT SURE! Maybe
you need to spend more time reading
instead of just jumping to conclusions
that she is "pushing out". Also...you
dont know if she is acting or not (which
by the way again, why would she?!) and why
would you say anything like that? Your
not pointing out the obvious, your just
trying to make her feel bad. And yes, im
going to be nice and try and make her feel
better b/c that is what we are all
supposed to do...SUPPORT each
other!!!!!!!!

Actually...let me correct a mistake i
made...It was not in the post you copy and
pasted, but the last one she made after
you insulted her.

To be fair, we HAVE seen a lot of fakes
& stupid drama here.. I'm not at all
saying amethyst_butterfly is a fake or
posting to start drama, I just mean you
can't expect us all to be totally trusting
of people after all the stuff this site
& its members have seen in the past.
I'm just saying.. not arguing!

I remember my belly puffed out too in the
12th week. Mostly gas part baby! All I
have to say is CONGRATS! You must be so
excited! Were you taking
fertility drugs before you got pregnant?
Good luck. I look forward to further
updates!

thought we were suppose to support each

come back to this forum, some people on

Amethyst_butterfly, it happens sometimes.
just listen to the ones you think are
being positive and supportive.
She also said:
" ...and for those who don't consider
this, I am worried, It bothers me to
death. I have less then a week, and I look
forward to my appt."
She clearly does have a concern or she
would not have called for an appt to see
her doctor about what is doing on. You
can't assume she doesn't care, or that
she's faking it just because others in the
past have done the same. That's
stereotyping everyone who comes on here.
I don't think it intitles you to come off
rude when if you read closely, she IS in
fact concerned and seeing someone about
it.

I'm pretty sure she already had the
appointment booked & didn't
specifically book it to find out what was
going on. She goes on another forum that I
go on too, & on there she just posts
the same pics without showing any concern
whatsoever.. they're just "bump" pictures.
The only people who are showing concern
are the people responding to her posts.

you cant assume that she doesnt care
though.
she could have gotten the appt. changed so
its sooner rather than later.
its amazing, how so many people dig up the
dirt on people, just to state that they
dont "care" or dont show "concern" or are
being "fake".
Do you not think that after hearing
peoples replys as to how ig she is she
COULD have changed it, and is feeling
concerned?

excuse me for not criticizing everyone.
sorry that i was taught to be a good
person and not judge without knowing the
whole story.
just because you've seen THIS story before
does not mean she is faking.
Everyone on here loves to make others out
to be a bad person or a faker because they
dont show they care. She could in fact
care off of this forum, and just doesnt
want to point it out to much here, but she
already did say she does care.
im not being a hero, just not being so
judgemental like some.

I just want to say that I have never ONCE
accused her of being fake. I posted my
belly pic to give her some perspective
about how a tall pregnant woman looks
lying down at 33 weeks, & how very
very odd it is that she should be bigger
than that at only 12 weeks. I wasn't
posting my pic to make her look fake.
And the whole "not caring" thing.. well
I'm sorry, but when she originally posted
her belly pic she just put "this is me at
12 weeks + 2 days", not "look at my belly,
isn't this waaay too big for 12 weeks??".
I bet if no-one had mentioned it she
wouldn't talk to her doctor about it.
& she's been talking about how her
appointment is this tuesday for a few
weeks now, so she didn't get it made
sooner.

honestly she probably didnt realize her
stomach was to big at 12 wks until ppl
started saying something. This is her
first pregnancy, i know that if it was me,
i too would not have thought anything
about it b/c ppl constantly say "ppl carry
diff". She may have not been concerned
before, b/c she probably didnt know, but
she clearly stated that she is now. I
think posting your pic zanny was a good
idea that way ppl could see what is the
"norm" i guess to put it. I found it
helpfull!
BTW zanny your little girl is soooo
cute!!!! How old is she??

well put.
plus you have to think, how would you feel
if this was your first pregnancy and
someone said 'you obviously dont seem
concerned'. I dont think you'd feel peachy
about it.
