Because i hit 12 weeks, and my belly
hasn't gotten bigger since 11 weeks, just
a bit tighter feeling and a bit more
solid. I don't know. This is the first
time I've ever been pregnant so I have
nothing to compare it to, like a single
baby pregnancy, just this one. So, maybe
there is two. I don't know but I am going
to bring it up at my appt. Because I'm
still curious about it.

yeah. I know, at 9 weeks i was still
feeling kinda flabby even though I was
getting bigger, and then I hit 11 weeks
and I feel like my tummy has stayed the
same just gotten harder. I have a feeling
I'm going to bawl my eyes out like a
little baby when I hear the heartbeat lol
Sometimes they are not able
to tell something is wrong until they see
it on an u/s. That helps make sure
everything is developing like it should,
and they get to see the way everything is
developing. You dont always no of
problems when they happin...you find out
when you get to actually see
it.
Yes I'm fully aware of that (in my last
pregnancy I had lots of ultrasounds due to
problems at the end) but her doctor really
isn't doing anything wrong.. they're not
exactly going to start giving ultrasounds
every week just to make sure nothing's
going wrong in the pregnancy.
Most women get their first scan at 12
weeks in the UK, unless they experience
bleeding or pain etc, or have suffered an
early miscarriage in previous pregnancies.
I know it's different in the US.. some
women seem to get ultrasounds at every
doctor's appointment. We only get 2 unless
there are problems. Every doctor is
different.. but you can't say she needs to
change her doctor just because he doesn't
give women ultrasounds when they want
them.

Obviously they are not going to do one
every week! If you look at a previous
post that i made, i said that every dr is
diff and they all have their own opinions.
Also, yes i find it weird she has not had
one, b/c everyone i know, plus myself has
already had atleast one u/s before hitting
13 wks. I obviously was not the only one
that felt that way too.

It is probably due to her insurance. It is
expensive to have ultrasounds. Insurance
doesn't want pay if they aren't completely
necessary.
