Q: 30 weeks but measuring 34 weeks

I'm scared. My Dr is sending me for an ultrasound on July 4th to make sure everything is ok...but just wondering if anyone else measured big? I don't have gestational diabetes, but taking another test to be sure.
Can anyone ease my mind?

Thanks
Cheryl

Extremely eHealthy
I measured big like that and i just ended up with a 9 lb baby at 37 weeks 6 days. My ultrasounds never showed an accurate weight for her though. The day before I delivered the ultrasound said 7 lbs 13 oz.

Let us know how it goes.

i wouldn't be too worried. you could have a big baby, extra fluid, or the baby could just be in a funny position.

i'd look forward to getting another u/s! but take whatever they tell you with a grain of salt. i had an u/s the night before my son was born and they said he was 10 pounds, he was born weighing 8lb 5oz.

i always measured ahead (usually 3-4 weeks) with my daughter and she was born at 8lb 7oz.

let us know how it goes. enjoy seeing your baby again!

Thanks girls...I'm hoping he's just a big baby, and not too much fluid or diabetes.
I will keep you posted

Measuring too big?
I myself am at 34 weeks, and yesterday when I went to get my ultrasound, I measured at 36 weeks (baby is 6.5 lbs). I'm due on July 31, but I don't think the Doc will let me go that long. Anyhow, I'll find out this Thursday (June 26) when I go for my check-up. All I do know is that every baby grows differently. There is no exact growing chart.

You're welcome. As long as the baby is healthy. The bigger, the more cuddlier...lol....Very Happy
