Snowball,
hi it is leslie, try going to a
nutrition store or a health store that
sells not only different variety of foods
for special needs eaters but also skin
products, shampoos, soaps and anything
else you can think of. I have
exceptionaly dry skin and use a product
called kiss my face. Sorry that is it's
name. When you shower rub it on by hand
and then rub off after washing until there
is still a slight slick feeling to the
skin. Don't dry your skin by rubbing with
a towel but pat yourself dry instead, told
to me by a great dermatologist. It works
for me. Try it out and talk to the
peolple in the store, they usually are
pretty well informed. You might be
allergic to different regular soaps too.
Also try using olive oil shampoo. I have
for years and it is great. These products
don't have all the chemicals in them that
other regular products do.
Tkae care and good luck
on your operation.

While you are at the healthfood store, ask
for something called borage oil. It
contains the highest concentrations of gla
(gamma lenoleic acid) which will help
relieve dry skin. You can take one or
two a day (with a meal) other than
environmental exposure to skin (cold,
chaffing, etc.) the other reason many
people have dry skin in the winter months
is because of poor fat metabolism.
Borage oil is a fat, a good fat. Won't
make you fat, in case you were wondering.
You'll see a total difference in your
skin within a week. Really. M
