This reminds me of a hilarious story I
just heard the other day.
My boyfriend's boss was running a marathon
in Hawaii. She was sharing a hotel room
with another marathon runner who she did
not know at all. After the run, her
stomach was pretty upset so she went to
the bathroom to empty her bowels. I guess
the cold of the weather mixed with the
heat of her body from running formed a
vacuum seal to the toilet. She was
stuck...she could not get up.
She thought maybe flushing the toilet
would help. She flushed, and it made it
worse! It tightened the vacuum seal. She
was really REALLY stuck. After awhile,
her roommate knocked to make sure that she
was okay. She had to tell her the story
and then there was an awkward scene to
figure out how to get her off of the
toilet. They ended up getting a
toothbrush to pry under her leg to break
the seal the toilet had on her. She had a
BIG red ring around her and said it hurt
for awhile! How embarassign.

I had read this article earlier right
before supper and it literally made me
sick to my stomach. I couldn't stop
picturing the toilet stuck to her butt.
Her skin grew around it.....how gross!!!
Supposedly to her legs were atrophied. I
still can't imagine how something like
this would happen, its bizarre!!

i seriously can't imagine how this is
possible. people can die from bedsores
getting infected if they are not moved
periodically. how did she not get sick?
she would have been in severe pain. her
legs were atrophied. she must have major,
major mental issues. it really is sad.
what a way to live. i'm glad they found
her and i hope she gets the help she
needs. i'm gonna be careful when i go to
the bathroom from now on!!

How sad...and very strange. Muscles start
to atrophy after just a couple of days of
not using them, she's going to need some
major therapy..physical, mental and
emotional.

oh my gosh, i thought it said 2 hours too!
2 years??? I can't believe her boyfriend
would even let her do that. Doesn't he
care more for her than that? I mean
there's a difference when a lady has a
phobia of something like germs or
something, but this is outrageous in my
opinion. Of course he couldn't forcer her
out of the bathroom, but you'd think that
it would dawn on him after more than a few
days that she needed some help.

I have never seen anyone on cnn laugh
until last night. The reporter started to
talk about it and busted up laughing. it
quickly went to a break.
I don't get it. The guy stated his wife or
gf would get up yet the report stated her
skin grew around the seat. Also, how can
that guy go that long without getting her
help? maybe he didn't know what to do?I
think it is a very sad story, actually.
that is one severe case of agoraphobia.

anything but what has this story to do
with 'Pregnancy Community'? Did the poor
woman believe the old wives' tale that you
could get pregnant from sitting on a
toilet seat?
